A man charged July 4 with second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor between the ages of 11 and 14 was denied bond last week by Clarendon Magistrate Judge June Briggs at the Clarendon County Detention Center. The Clarendon County Sheriff's Office alleges that a 13-year-old girl who ran away from home between May 27 and 30 was found with Victor Raynor, 31, of 1107 McDuffie Road in Pinewood, at his home. A 34-year-old woman told the girl's mother where she was, and the mother took her from the home to the Sumter County Sheriff's Office, who transferred the case to Clarendon. Raynor faces up to 20 years in prison, if convicted.
