MONCKS CORNER - Kathleen McLeod Roberson, 84, widow of C. Ercell Roberson, died Thursday morning, July 3, 2014, at her daughter's home. Born Nov. 11, 1929, in Sumter County, she was a daughter of the late James Wilson McLeod and Mary Dawkins McLeod. She was a graduate of Pinewood High School and attended McLaurin Business School. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Moncks Corner and a watch-care member of First Baptist Church in Augusta, Ga. Dearly loved by her family and friends, Kathleen McLeod Roberson was a woman of great faith and kindness. She was a retired secretary from the S.C. Department of Education after 32 years of service. Survivors include a daughter, Pam R. Thomas and her husband, Allan, of Augusta; four sisters, Janet M. Trembley and Thelma M. McLeod, both of Sumter, Barbara M. Morris of Summerton and Gerry M. Timmons and her husband, J.B., of Pinewood; and two grandchildren, Callan E. Thomas and Laurel K. Thomas. Funeral services for Kathleen McLeod Roberson will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Moncks Corner. Interment will follow in Berkeley Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Monday at Dial-Murray Funeral Home, 300 W. Main St. in Moncks Corner.
