A 35-year-old man arrested early Saturday morning after witnesses told deputies with the Clarendon County Sheriff's Office that he pinned his 46-year-old cousin between two SUVs will have to seek bond from a Circuit Court judge. Clarendon Magistrate Judge June Briggs denied bond for Roosevelt Sabb Jr. on Sunday afternoon. Sabb, of 1221 Thurston Drive in Wilson, N.C., allegedly hit Keith Alexander Smith of Palm Beach, Fla., with a Ford Explorer shortly after 12 a.m. Saturday, pinning him between his vehicle and another Ford Explorer. Smith was pronounced dead at the scene about 1:17 a.m. As of Sunday afternoon, Sabb did not have an attorney. According to state law, suspects charged with offenses which are punishable by life in prison or the death penalty may only seek bond from a Circuit Court judge.
