Dominee "Lil Will" Lawson

SUMMERTON — Dominee “Lil Will” Lawson, 29, died Monday, June 30, 2014, at Clarendon Memorial Hospital in Manning.

Born Sept. 30, 1984, in Clarendon County, he was a son of Willie Way and Lou Ellen Lawson, and stepson of David Felder and Revetta Way. He attended Clarendon County public schools and was a member of Taw Caw Missionary Baptist Church in Summerton. He was employed at Gold Kist, Way Construction and Food Lion warehouse.

Survivors besides his mother and stepfather of Summerton and his father and stepmother of Columbia include two sisters, Tarran "Shay" (Jeffrey) Lawson and Jennifer (Jerome) Lawson, both of Summerton; two brothers, Sandy "Pipe" Lawson of Summerton and Willie King of Columbia; maternal grandparents, Gertie and Robert Riley of Summerton; and a special friend, Nakiesha Nelson of the home.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. today at Taw Caw Missionary Baptist Church in Summerton, with the Rev. Dr. W.T. Johnson, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Lawson will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.

The family will receive friends at the home of his sister, Tarren “Shay” Lawson, 1096 Oliver James Road in Summerton.
