Nellie Mae Powers, age 73, died Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Clarendon Memorial Hospital after an illness.
Born in Florence County, she was a daughter of the late Myrick Cleveland Powers and Martha Tanner Powers.
She was preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers.
Surviving are a brother, Rev. Jesse Powers of Charleston and a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 5, 2014, at Good Hope United Methodist Church cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta.
The family will greet friends at the cemetery following the service.
