A Manning woman is seeking donations for a Clarendon County family whose newborn son is suffering with a rare heart condition. Cassie Hardy said Thursday morning that Banks Bryant, the 6-day-old son of Josh and Ashley Bryant, was born with an undeveloped heart, specifically hypoplastic left heart syndrome. Josh Bryant is the son of Thomas and Lily Bryant of Manning, and Ashley Bryant is the daughter of Teresa Mims of Coward. The couple is currently with the child at the Medical University of South Carolina hospital in Charleston. They have an older daughter, 3-year-old Addison. "Manning always comes through for its citizens who are going through a rough time," Hardy said. "It's amazing the response I got just from posting on Facebook." Hardy said she is looking for anything to make the couple's struggle a little easier. "Any kind of everyday household items like paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent, dish detergent," Hardy said. "If they have any frozen goods, they can call me and I will come and get them." She said items can be dropped off at East Palmetto Ambulance Service, Maree's Beauty Shop, Sunset Finance, The Manning Times and Brunson's Pharmacy. Hardy can be reached at (803) 460-2427.
