License sales for the 2014-15 hunting and fishing season began Wednesday, and can be purchased in multiple ways.
Licenses are available in person at any of the four regional state Department of Natural Resources offices, or by visiting one of the 500 license vendors across the state. They are also available 24/7 by calling 1 (866) 714-3511, or by visiting www.dnr.sc.gov/purchase. Having your state issued identification ready and a current SC hunting/fishing license that displays your customer identification number will speed your purchase.
Residents and nonresidents age 16 and older must purchase the required licenses to hunt and fish in South Carolina. Persons born after June 30, 1979, must have successfully completed a hunter education course prior to obtain a hunting license. Find a course near your or complete hunter education online.
