Do you know Jaquan Hardy? The 21-year-old Manning High School Class of 2011 graduate has worked at Bojangle’s on Paxville Highway for the last five years. As the chef manager, he said what he likes most about his job is ensuring good customer service. The most difficult aspect? Making sure the customer is always happy, he said. WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO IN YOUR FREE TIME? Sports. Basketball and football. DID YOU PULL FOR THE SAN ANTONIO SPURS OR THE MIAMI HEAT IN THE NBA FINALS? The Spurs. But I’m a (Los Angeles) Lakers fan. WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT SPORTS? I’m real competitive. I like competition. At Manning High, I played basketball, football and baseball. WHAT KIND OF MUSIC DO YOU LIKE? R&B. Hip hop. I like Trey Songz. WHAT TV SHOWS DO YOU WATCH? I don’t really have time for TV. WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT ATTENDING MORRIS COLLEGE? I’m majoring in business management. It’s my second year. I like learning and meeting new people. I also spent two years earning my welding certificate from Central Carolina Technical College. WHAT’S CAMPUS LIFE LIKE AT MORRIS COLLEGE? It’s fun at times. There’s rules, but it’s not too strict. WHAT WOULD MOST PEOPLE NOT KNOW ABOUT YOU? I like fishing. WHAT’S THE BIGGEST FISH YOU’VE CAUGHT? A catfish, at Camp Bob Cooper. It was about this big (he holds his hands more than a foot apart). I also like fishing at Taw Caw.
