Fight on North Brooks over child

Lt. Carroll Harrington of the Manning Police Department said Friday afternoon that a fight between two cousins on North Brooks Street was due to issues over child custody. Harrington said the parties were fighting over the child leaving the county with the father. One party has temporary custody while the other had supervised visits, he said. "When we got there, the fight was over," Harrington said. He said one of the parties to the fight lost a hairpiece, while the man lost a shirt. Neither told police they wanted to press charges as of Friday.
