LANCASTER, Pa. — Marion Williams, 56, died on Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster.Born Sept. 4, 1957, in Alcolu, he was a son of Mable Williams Taylor and the late Prince Eaddy. He attended Clarendon County public schools. After moving to Miami, Fla., he worked as a member of the local No. 1175 Union for for several years. He later relocated to Pennsylvania. In his youth, he attended Cypress Fork AME Church in Alcolu.Survivors besides his mother of Baldwin, N.Y., include his companion, Joanie McManus of Lancaster; a daughter, Alonda of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; a son, Anthony of Manchester, N.Y.; three aunts, Valeree Daney, Eva Yvette (John W.) Starks and Annie Mae Williams, all of Manning; an uncle, Mac Eaddy of Baltimore, Md.; and a granddaughter. Celebratory services for Marion Williams will be held 2 p.m. today at Cypress Fork AME Church, 5594 Brewington Road in Alcolu, with the Rev. Oddie D. Smalls, pastor, officiating, assisted by the Revs. Leroy Green, Benny McCants and Jimmy McFadden. Burial will follow in the churchyard cemetery. Mr. Williams will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time. The family is receiving friends at the home of his aunt and uncle, Yvette and John Starks, 3256 Raccoon Road in Manning. These services have been entrusted to Samuels Funeral Home LLC of Manning.
