Walker takes 1st in 400 hurders, breaks own record at state track meet

Laurence Manning Academy senior Charlie Walker was victorious in the 400-meter hurdles on Saturday in the SCISA state track meet at Heathwood Hall in Columbia. He also placed sixth in the 110-meter hurdles and fourth as a member of the 4-by-400 relay team. He finished the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 56.66, breaking his own school record. Aaron Kruger placed second in the 400-meters with a time of 56.43, and was also a member of the 4-by-400 relay team. Other team members included Brandon Fenters and Jordan Rock. Maleke Davis ran well in the 200-meters but did not place. Cole Hair participated in the long and triple jumps, gaining his best marks of the season. Hannah Graham placed fifth in the 100-meters and sixth in the 200.
