Police to assist Craig's Used Cars' customers without tags

Manning Police Chief Blair Shaffer said Tuesday that his staff will assist customers of Craig's Used Cars who still do not have proper tags for vehicles sold within the last six months. The state DMV started procedures on Tuesday to revoke the dealership's license, effectively shutting down the store's Manning operations. Owner Mike Dozier operates two other dealerships in Florence, Shaffer said, and was allegedly not providing proper vehicle tags for cars sold at the business during a six-month investigation by the Manning Police Department and the DMV. "Customers can come by our office and file a breach of trust report," Shaffer said. "The DMV will be working with customers to get the proper tags." For more information, call (803) 435-8859.
