SUMTER - Sandra Jean Minoughan, 73, died Saturday, April 12, 2014, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center.
Born in Alcolu, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Chandler Brogdon and Virginia Louise Hill Brogdon. Mrs. Minoughan was a member of Grace Baptist Church. She was a retired registered nurse at Hopewell Healthcare Center. She was a former first lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force and was a recipient of the National Defense Service Medal.
Survivors include a son, William T. "Billy" Minoughan of Rembert; a brother, Tommy Brogdon of Easley; two grandchildren, Cameron H. Minoughan and Madison G. Minoughan, both of Sumter; and a daughter-in-law, Shea Minoughan of Sumter.
Funeral services will be held at noon Monday in the chapel of Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Howell officiating. Burial will follow in Sumter Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to noon Monday at the funeral home.
