Windo Robert Curry, 78, husband of Mertie Hodge Strickland Curry, died Sunday, April 6, 2014, at Clarendon Memorial Hospital in Manning.
Born Nov. 6, 1935, in Pamplico, he was a son of the late Ander A. Curry and Dora Winne Johnson Curry. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was retired from Santee Print Works.
Survivors besides his wife of Manning include a stepdaughter, Patty (William Hugh) Epps of Alcolu; three grandchildren, Will (Kathryn) Epps and Nancy (Heyward) Moore, both of Manning, and McNeil (Megan) Epps of Greenville; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Tommy; and a sister, Wendy.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Drs. George R. Jones Jr. and Billie Clowney.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2014, in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home with the Rev. Tommy Conway officiating.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Stephens Funeral Home.
