Summerton Lions Club members came together March 24 to participate in the statewide Walk for Sight, an opportunity for Lions Clubs throughout the state to further connect with local towns and cities to shine a spotlight on the group's motto, "We Serve."
Founded in 1917, the Lions are best known for fighting blindness, according to Lions International. They also perform volunteer work for other community projects, including caring for the environment, feeding the hungry and aiding seniors and the disabled.
