OLANTA — Frederrick Lamont Prince, 36, companion of Anglie Anderson, died Friday, March 7, 2014, at his home, 12780 Truluck Road in Olanta.

Born June 18, 1977, in Sumter, he was a son of Pressley Shaw and Roberta Prince Brown. He attended the public schools of Florence County and Crestwood High School in Sumter. He was employed as a pipe layer for Weaver Construction of Florence and Altman Quail Farms of Lynchburg.

Survivors besides his companion, his mother of Olanta and his father of Florence include a daughter, Dyneasha McFadden of Lake City; a son, Malik McElveen of Sumter; five brothers, Tyrone Prince of Olanta, Derrick Prince of Lynchburg, and Jermaine Shaw, James Shaw and Natheal Shaw, all of Florence; two sisters, Betty and Mary Peterson, both of Florence; his maternal grandfather, Robert Prince; his paternal grandmother, Amie Shaw of Florence; and several uncles and aunts.

Celebratory services were held Friday, March 14, 2014, at Melina Presbyterian Church (USA), 3539 Black River Road in Gable, with the Rev. Samuel Sparks, pastor, officiating. Burial followed in the churchyard cemetery.

The family received friends at the home of his aunt, Maggie T. Harrison, 4911 ½ Woodsbay Road in Olanta.
