A 24-year-old man convicted earlier today in the shooting deaths of his 9-month-old son and the boy's 59-year-old great-grandmother will spend the rest of his life in prison. Third Circuit Court Judge W. Jeffrey Young sentenced Justin Jermaine Johnson on Thursday afternoon to three life sentences, two for the double murder charges and one for first-degree burglary in the April 6, 2011, incident. Johnson was accused of going to Maxine Caraway's home on Carissa Lane in Manning, shooting the woman and then shooting his son before chasing after the boy's mother, Kaisha, in the home. He later took Kaisha and his then-2-year-old daughter, Ny'Keya, and fled the home. Johnson was also given a consecutive 30-year sentence for the kidnapping, and five years concurrent for possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
