Charles Eli Robinson

Charles Eli Robinson, 74, widower of Wilma Walker Morris Robinson, died Monday, March 3, 2014, at Sumter Health & Rehab Nursing Center.

Born in Turbeville, he was a son of the late Willie Eli and Alma Louise Player Robinson. He was the retired owner and operator of Charles Robinson Fence Co.

Survivors include a daughter, Dana Robinson of Charleston; a brother, Doug Robinson of Sumter; a sister, Miriam Tedder of Camden; two grandchildren, Lake and Mason; five nieces, Debbie McCord, Maria Ardis, Beth Ardis Segars, Gwen Tedder and Whitney Robinson; and a nephew, Chris Tedder.

He was preceded in death by a stepson, Kenneth Morris.

Funeral services were held Thursday, March 6, 2014, in the chapel of Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home. Burial followed in Sumter Cemetery.
