Clarendon School District 2 Superintendent John Tindal said a bomb threat that moved Manning Junior High School students to Manning High School for a short time on Friday was handled by the Clarendon County Sheriff’s Office and other emergency officials within an hour.

“They cleared the school, and we brought the students back to school and continued the regular schedule for the rest of the day.”

A threat was called into a school secretary about 12:10 p.m. Friday.

The Manning Times is awaiting a report from the Sheriff’s Office.
