Theresa Helen Emerson Terrell

Theresa-TerrellTheresa Helen Emerson Terrell, 73, wife of Thomas Aubry Terrell, died Monday, March 3, 2014, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center.

Born Oct. 12, 1940, in North Hornell, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late Howard John Emerson and Margery May Perkins Emerson. She was a member of the board of directors for A Second Chance Animal Shelter and the Basset Rescue Crew of the Southeast.

Survivors besides her husband of Manning include seven children; a stepson; 25 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Janet Goodwin of Manning.

The family would like to thank Tuomey Hospice and the staff of the Telemetry Unit of Tuomey Regional Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made to A Second Chance Animal Shelter, 5079 Alex Harvin Highway, Manning, SC 29102.

    Theresa, your smile and sunny personality was an inspiration to me at A Second Chance Animal Shelter. I’ll always remember you and all you did for the people and the furries. You were the voice for the ones who through no fault of their own could not be heard–the lost, abandoned, abused, mistreated dogs of Clarendon County. It is an honor to have known you and we will meet again some day at the Rainbow Bridge.
