Laurence Manning Academy won its season opening soccer game against Covenant Central on Tuesday at home, 8-2. The Swampcats had 32 shots on goal, while Andrew Compton had 13 saves in goal. Olin Robinson had one goal and one assist. Toney Cruz also had one goal and assist. Will Wannamaker had three goals, while Austin Stout had four goals. The Swampcats travel to Thomas Sumter Academy today.
