SUMMERTON – Hattie Mae David died Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014.

Born Aug. 16, 1948, in Summerton, she was a daughter of the late Cleveland and Idella Lawson.

Survivors include two daughters, Christina (General) Lemon of Columbia and Athenia D. (Allan) Bosier of Summerton; four sisters, Cleo Abbotts of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Ahaic Mae Lewis, Della Mae Lawson and Elreatha Lawson, all of Summerton; three brothers, Cleveland (Mert) Lawson of Summerton, Robert Lawson of Brooklyn and Willie Lawson of Miami, Fla.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a goddaughter; a brother-in-law, George Lee David of Miami; a very dear and close cousin, Williene Benbow of Florence; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at Taw Caw Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. W.T. Johnson, pastor, officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

The family received friends at the home of her brother and sister-in-law, 2327 Governor Richardson Road in Summerton.
