Juanita McKenzie Barrineau

LAKE CITY – Juanita McKenzie Barrineau, 80, widow of Curtis Vance Barrineau, died Feb. 22, 2014, at her home after an illness.

Born in Clarendon County, she was a daughter of the late Wylie W. McKenzie and Lottie Beard McKenzie. She retired from food service in Florence School District 3, and was a homemaker and a member of Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church, the Women’s Ministry and the Sunday school of Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Dianne (Dinah) Campbell of Florence and Jan (Barry) Conyers and Shan (Aaron) Robinson, both of Lake City; a son, Van (Lynette) Barrineau Eaddy of Lake City; three brothers, Doug (Elsie) McKenzie, Dean (Dessie) McKenzie and Randy (Lynn) McKenzie, all of Lake City; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; four special sisters-in-law, Mary Lee Ward, Letha Barrineau, Ann Barrineau and Lawanna McKenzie; and a special brother-in-law, Shelby Barrineau.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Durant McKenzie.

Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Monday at Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church, with burial following in the church cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta.

The family would like to thank the special caregivers, Beebe Coker, Christina Toney, Vera Coker, Elsie McKenzie, Iris Odom and Dr. Priscilla Welch.
