The Harvin Clarendon County Library, 215 N. Boyce St. in Manning, and the Internal Revenue Service will hold a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program at the library. The sit will be open from 2-5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday through April 19. Returns can also be filed between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday by appointment only. The VITA program provides volunteers who are trained by the IRS and the state Department of Revenue to help prepare tax returns and electronically file returns free of charge for people who need free tax help. They do not do complicated or business returns. For more information, call (803) 435-8633.
