An 18-year-old man died early Thursday morning after two men attempted to rob him and his 29-year-old uncle, according to the Clarendon County Sheriff's Office.
Johnte Shaheed Holliday of 6509 Furse Road in Summerton was pronounced dead at Clarendon Memorial Hospital about 2:56 a.m. Thursday. Holliday's uncle told deputies that his nephew let in two men he thought to be his uncle's acquaintances shortly after 12 a.m. He said the men then demanded money, took a shotgun valued at $200 and began shooting after hitting the older man in the head.
