MANNING - Adrian Spencer "Mac" McLaughlin, 65, husband of Deborah Sue Keys McLaughlin, died Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014, at Providence Hospital in Columbia.

 

Born Aug. 26, 1948, in Paris, Maine, he was a son of the late Merlyn Densmore and Elsie Dean McLaughlin. He was a retired master carpenter, a U.S. Air Force Vietnam veteran, a member of the Vietnam Veterans Association, the Flying Tigers, a Civil War re-enactor, and a member of Manning First Baptist Church and the P.T. Bradham Sunday School class.

 

Survivors besides his wife of Manning include two sons, Brian McLaughlin (Jodi) and Keith McLaughlin (Kelli), all of Mechanicsville, Md.; three grandchildren, Morgen McLaughlin, Abigail McLaughlin and Madison Marconi; four brothers, Merlyn McLaughlin, Herschel McLaughlin, Sheridan McLaughlin and Lyndon McLaughlin; a sister, Charlotte Mayo (Mark); three brothers-in-law, William Byrd Keys (Bonnie), Richard Keys and Robert Keys (Sandy); and three sisters-in-law, Betty Ann Young (Dana), Linda Carol Shotwell (Bo) and Robin Darlene Groves (Jody).

 

He was preceded in death by a brother, Albert McLaughlin; and a sister-in-law, Cinda Keys.

 

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Manning First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dale Roach officiating.

 

Members of the Vietnam Veterans Association will serve as honorary pallbearers.
