LAURA ANN HARRISON

Laura Ann Harrison, 45, of 3383 S. Brewington Road in Manning, died Saturday, Jan. 2, 2014, at her home.

 

Born Nov. 2, 1968, in Clarendon County, she was a daughter of Andretta Houston Harrison and the late Deacon Joe Nathan Harrison. She was a graduate of the South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind in Spartanburg. In her youth, she attended Grace Christian Church in Manning.

 

Survivors besides her mother of the home include a son, Travis Harrison of the home; two sisters, Betty J. King and Elinda G. Harrison; two brothers, Jonathan (Kathleen) Harrison and Ryan Harrison; seven aunts, Cynthia (Freddie) Snider, Teresa (Henry) Hilton, Susie Mae (J.C.) Murray, Virgeree Pendergrass, Midred Rouse, Ruth Kennedy and Mary J. Green; and three uncles, Lun (Sarah) Houston Jr., Truman Houston and Samuels (Charlene) Harrison.

 

Celebratory services for Laura Ann were held today at the Hayes F. and LaNelle J. Samuels Jr. Memorial Chapel, 114 N. Church St. in Manning, with the Rev. Handsome Major officiating, assisted by the Rev. Mike Burdock and the Rev. Kenneth Murray. Burial followed in Junky Yard Cemetery in Foreston.

 

The family will receive friends at the home.
