Saints have mixed results at Patrick Henry Academy

Two Clarendon Hall teams – the JV boys and the Varsity Girls – defeated opponents Patrick Henry Academy during away games on Friday night.

The JV boys scored more than twice Patrick Henry’s team to finish 38-17 on Friday night in Estill, bringing the Saints to 10-5 on the season and 6-1 in the region. Matthew Corbett scored 18 points, while John Lewis scored 11, Will Corbett scored four and Kameron Earles and Dylan Way each scored two points. Other states included: Corbett, eight rebounds and four steals; Lewis, four rebounds and four steals; Al Hobbs, nine rebounds; Jordan Self; seven rebounds; and Corbett, five rebounds.

The Lady Saints won in similar fashion, besting Patrick Henry 44-28 in Estill. They are now 6-8 for the season, and 2-3 in region play. Both Holly Carlisle and Shannon Corbett led the team with 12 points each. Delaney Peeler, who scored nine points, led the team in rebounds, with 13. Abigail Jenkinson, who scored seven points, led the team in steals, with seven. Bailey Connors also scored three points. Corbett also picked up seven rebounds and seven teals.

The JV girls would not have similar luck, however, losing 20-10 to Patrick Henry. Mallory McIntosh put up half the team’s score, with five points and three rebounds. Sidney Wells had two points and four rebounds; Ava English, two points and two rebounds; and Brynne Baxley, one point and five rebounds.

Likewise, the Varsity Boys lost 57-33 to Patrick Henry. Collyn Bates put up nearly half the team’s score, with 15 points. Daniel Pappas scored four points and made six rebounds. Raj Patel scored five points, Shaneel Bivek also scored five points and Gary Elenbark came up with four.
