TURBEVILLE – During a busy regular meeting on Jan. 14, Turbeville Mayor Dwayne Howell updated Town Council members on the planned festivities that will take place throughout the year to mark the town’s 100th birthday. Turbeville will celebrate the milestone officially in August, but began celebrations in December during the annual Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony and the Turbeville Tour of Homes a week later.

“The weather was bad and the crowd was small but the parade was a success,” he said. “The ribbon cutting for the history museum, located next to the town park, was well-attended, and I invite everyone to visit regularly as the displays will change on a monthly basis.”
