Sheriff’s Office holds charity golf tourney

The Clarendon County Sheriff’s Office’s first Charity Golf Tournament was held Jan. 16 at the Players Course Wyboo Golf Club in Manning. Proceeds benefited the completion of a Ronald McDonald House in Columbia and the American Lung Association. Both organizations are dear to Sheriff Randy Garrett’s heart, as his wife, Barbara, is battling pulmonary fibrosis, the formation of excess fibrous connective tissue on the lungs.
