A recent report from the Institute for College Access and Success recently found the average debt for college graduates in South Carolina is now a staggering $27,416.

As the cost of a college education continues to rise, South Carolina State Treasurer Curtis Loftis writes in this week's Manning Times about ways parents can "begin making sound investments to help pay for the cost of a college education and provide a better future for your children or grandchildren."
